Columbia SC fashion designer featured on “Tamron Hall Show” | Local News

COLUMBIA — People who might not be familiar with the “Tamron Hall Show” might not know that Hall is quite a fashionista. For four seasons, she’s hosted an up-and-coming designer series, where designers have their work showcased on live television, have the opportunity to dress Hall and even be mentored by someone from the fashion industry.

South Carolina native Sergio Hudson served as a mentor on Hall’s show for the fall installment of the series, but another SC native was featured on Hall’s latest installment.

Roneisha Stark, Twin Stitch Designs, had the opportunity to be the seventh featured designer in February, where she and her work were featured for a week on the ABC talk show.

Stark and her sister, Ronnia, grew up with a single mom and learned the importance of working smart. Their mom provided her daughters with nice things but worked 100 hours to afford them.

Parents have been left furious after a popular fashion brand launched a baby skincare and perfume line, saying youngsters categorically don’t ‘need’ beauty products.

Dior has unveiled a new range of beauty goodies aimed at babies and children, which some people think is an ‘adorable’ idea, while others can’t believe what they’re seeing.

The designer fashion brand actually once had a ‘baby care line’, launched back in 1970, but it was later discontinued.

However, it’s decided to give it another stab, having made the bold decision to ‘revisit Baby Dior’.

It comes after Dior Perfume Creative Director Francis Kurkdijan joined the brand back in October 2022, telling WWD: “One of the projects I had in mind was revisiting Baby Dior.”

Kurkdijan continued: “Christian Dior evoked his childhood many times as a very happy and joyful period of his life.

“The scent and the baby care line were discontinued, and

Fashion Brand AYR Is Redefining All-American, Timeless Staples

When longtime friends Maggie Winter and Max Bonbrest first launched their fashion brand AYR (which stands for All Year Round) in 2014, they had no idea it would be so successful. The slow fashion brand has an ever-expanding line of womenswear and menswear.

The brand has been called everything from “coastal grandmother” to “best basics” and an “Oprah-loved brand.” Internally, they create “seasonless, ageless, effortless apparel for everyday life,” said Winter. “‘Old soul clothes for a new era’ as we say.”

Denim makes up roughly half of their business, every year. So it makes sense that AYR is known for their signature pieces, like The Secret Sauce wide-leg jeans for women. “It’s a super versatile pair of jeans that can be dressed up or down, and goes with a ton of different shoes,” said Brigette Deshais, the vice president of womenswear.

This fashion brand creates clothing that is designed with intention and sustainability.

Designer Sara Lopez is fighting against fast fashion by creating sustainable, well-structured garments that are made to last. Sara founded her fashion brand A–Company (@a____company) with the goal of designing the kinds of clothes she wanted to wear, and wasn’t seeing in the fashion world. She creates pieces that take inspiration from garment deconstruction as well as the queer community.

Sara was drawn to art from a young age, and quickly became interested in fashion as a mode of self-expression. “I was taking pictures a lot as a kid, and drawing, and I realized that clothing could be another form of expression,” she recalls. “There was a seamstress down the street from me, and I would take fabrics over to her and have these weird dresses made.”

Sara went on to study design in college, and when she creates garments for A–Company she takes an almost academic
